I love all the information/ opinions on this site, so thanks in advance to all who post. It seems like the more research I do on chips, the more I change my mind. I'm on the fence between a PPE standard and a predator chip for my 05 LLY stock tranny. I don't rod it, sometimes tow, don't want to upgrade the tranny anytime soon, just want to smile when I use the right foot... but I do know when to be easy on the alli since that topic has been beat to death.

It is my understanding that both these chips are similar in options/ performance. It seems like cost, hp numbers (RWHP or crank) and opinions are the only things that separate the two. I found a predator for $225, but don't want to jump the gun on it yet. I need help deciding which is for me. Any opinions or experiences are greatly appreciated.

Does the predator have the scan tool function?

just want to smile when I use the left foot... Then you need to upgrade your brakes.:D

Both are great programmers, and very widely used. IMO, between thos 2, it comes down to price if you don't plan on doing anything wild with your truck.

Predator for the price, PPE for everything else and its worth its price. Hard to beat the power of a PPE and its quality.
