I was looking at buying EFI live but think I might benefit if I find a tuner and pay them to tune my truck. I don't see myself messing with the tunes that much to justify the $800. Any tuners in PA or close?

You may want to post in the regional forums to see if there is someone local to you.

Alternatively, you may like to look for a vendor who sells customs tunes - like Kennedy Diesel and Ridge Runner Diesel who both sell custom tuned ECM's. In this case, you purchase their tune in an ECM and simply install it in your truck. You keep your existing ECM for dealer visits and a spare.

In addition, all of the EFILive vendors on this site will custom write you a tune that in 95% of cases will meet your needs - so you just install it and away you go. If you did go down this path, I'd recommend that you speak with a few vendors and see if they can write a 2nd custom tune for your 2007 Surburban, which our product also supports. Effectively for your $800 you'd be able to tune both your gasser and your Dmax.
