Hi, I am new here and it seems like a nice forum. Just purchased a 05 3500 4x4 dullie. I will be towing a lot with this car as well. To be exact a 53 foot gooseneck trailer with bmw race cars in it. I would like to have some more power to have some fun here and there too :). There are so many tuning programs out there that I am not sure what to go for. What seems to be the most reputable tuning kit, a good exhaust, and intake? Thank you.
Here is a picture of the truck.

I would go with a hypertech or predator since your truck is new and those programmers are easy to install/remove when you take it into the dealer, your truck is perfect for the application, im towing a 48 foot gooser and it tows perfect. BTW beatiful truck, i wish i couldve gotten black but it wouldnt have matched my white trailer!

So true, you have to match. The gooser is black to match the truck :)
Thank you.

Some will disagree, but I like the Banks 6-Gun unit and from what I'm reading on the LLY, it's turning out to be a pretty good box for it.
That being said, There are numerous tuners and boxes to look at. I believe the predator is also one to look at. For the ultimate thrill though, I believe TTS currently has top honors. It's also switchable between levels. Just remember that once you hit the 80-90 horse mark, the tranny starts to be on borrowed time.
Intake - Leave the factory one their! You can swiss cheese the box but nothing protects the motor better and until you hit flow requirements in the 500 horse plus range, it flows the air required.
Exhaust - Any of the 4" systems out there will help. The better ones seem to be Banks, MBRP, Kennedys. I'd recomend a S.S. system.
Hope this helps,
TT
thanks for the help. I might wait for the new edge A2 coming out in june, that seems like a very nice kit.
Got the exhaust installed and removed the cat as well by adding the mbrp front pipe. Sounds great! :)
