What is involved with programming it for your truck? Does it have to be in the truck?

Dieselholic 04-24-2005, 10:33 PM Green Goblin, It does not need to be installed in the truck, however it must be programmed through an OBPA (Off Board Programming Adapter). However not many dealers have these as they commonly have the vehicle that requires the replacement pcm in their facility for service at the time. It is a relatively simple process either way.
