go to diagnostics.
then go to engine data
then go to the engine data 2, i think it says engine data
scroll down until you see the balance rates
u shoudl be able to view all 8 injectors at the same time.

IIRC, it is under Diagnostics->Automatic ->Real Time Data->Engine Data->Engine Data 2. Then you will need to scroll down to get to the balance rates. You can scroll down until you see all 8 balance rates on one screen.

i havent had a chance to do this yet but what kinda values should i be seeing? in other words what would i call a bad or good balance?

Anyone in the Morehead, Ky area or actually the Huntington, WV area who wants to borrow my predator to check just let me know.

When I got my Predator I was told don't worry about the '-' or '+' too much. But any injector reading more than '4' + or - should be a concern. Hope that helps you.

Someone once posted how to check the balance rates: Check when hot in "N" and in "D". Less than +/- 4 in N and +/- 6 in D was said to be OK.

We sat in a parking lot one day going through menus and the useless owners manual Censored trying to figure it out one day. Next time I think it'll be a little more successful.

Key has to be on for it to work - so start it first to check rates or turn key on to do other functions.

Important

The fuel Cylinder Power Balance Test must be performed under the conditions for which the concern occurred. The concern must be duplicated during the test.

Important

Do not operate the cruise control during this test. Cruise control reactivation after the test may cause a brief extreme increase in engine speed.

<LI type=1>Observe the cylinder power contribution or other customer concern.
Perform the Cylinder Power Balance Test in Special Functions.
Do any of the cylinders indicate a different cylinder power contribution than the others, or lessen the customer concern?

Important

A fuel injector leak into the combustion chamber may result in mechanical damage to the cylinder. If any fuel spray comes out of a glow plug hole during the compression test, replace the fuel injector of the affected cylinder.

Perform the Engine Compression Test. Refer to Engine Compression Test in Engine Mechanical-6.6L

Refer to Injection System Components in Engine Controls Component Views. Failure to correctly identify the cylinder positions may result in the replacement of the wrong fuel injector.

Replace the fuel injectors on the cylinders that had poor cylinder power contribution, high balance rates, or a noise/smoke change. Refer to Fuel Injector Replacement.
