I want to get my tranny beefed up and was wondering what I will need to plan on spending. Another question, if I wait till there is a tranny problem will it cost even more?

From the research I did before biting the bullet, most manufacturers claim 500 RWHP holding capability for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3200 to $3800.

Maybe that will give you a ballpark figure to go on.

i dont know if the prices have changed much but i have around $5K + shipping(like $200) in a full ATS stage 5 w/ co-pilot

I paid over $5500 for mine which included shipping, core and installation. I never touched it!:)

Super Diesel has a full blown ATS transmission in his 1 tom dually, and he can blow through it in just a couple 1/4 mile passes. At least this is what seems to be floating around in my head. (There isn't much up there, so it get lost easily) He has somewhere around 800+ rwhp, and 1500+ rwtq.
