Well I flung a blade off the clutch fan the other day  and now she vibrates quite a bit, so..., Now I have an excuse to set up an electric cooling fan or just go back to the clutch fan. I leave fo a 1800 km trip on this saturday so I need to get this on asap.
How much cfm or what size fan or fans do I need for this. The truck doesn`t tow anything bigger than a 16 ft fiberglass boat.
I like the idea of picking up some more power by using the electric fan, but the cost is definitely more. Does a guy actually pick up more power and fuel mileage with a electric fan set up or is it just a sales gimmick?
any help asap would = a huge thank you :)

I remember a guy posting a while back that he gained a couple mpg going electric, put him up in the 24-26 mpg area....2wd as i recall.

What ever fan setup you get it should be rated for a big block and it needs a shroud or built in shroud to cool properly.

I plan on going electric someday even with the turbo.

No electric fans will draw as much air as the clutch fan can, but they can work just fine. You might end up with dual electric fans to make use of the available surface area, and you can run into problems with the alternator or running down the batteries. If you have A/C, you need to consider that --- it's a good idea to have the fans come on with the A/C compressor clutch.

I drove like 10 miles once without the fan installed and didn't notice any difference in power.

If you have a junkyard around, the cheapest (and quickest) would be to get another fan from there. I've got a 7-blade fan from a 350 on the 6.2 fan clutch; the bolt pattern is the same, and it moves a bit more air.

How did the blade come off? Driving like that, it probably doesn't take long before the bearing on the water pump is worn out ...

You're supposed to suck them through the grille, not put them into the fan from under the truck ...
