Havent heard the Cheetah personally, but I hear it sounds like a LLY/LBZ turboat idle. I am sure there is a video somewhere on the board.

MPI twins sound good. A friend was driving alongside me, we were doing 30-50mph, and he later said that even with his window up it sounded like a jet engine. He's an airline pilot and thinks about that stuff.

At Diesel Power Challenge last summer a Cheetah equipped DMax competitor whistled just like an F-16. It was loud. From 100' away you could hear that thing as it was going maybe 5mph through the parking lot.

Im betting the guys truck he heard was an LLY or LBZ straight piped, so like these guys are saying, unless you get twins you wont get that Jet noise.

I dont think you can put a VVT on an LB7.

You should hear my truck with my DA Turbo brake tow tune, it whistles like crazy, sounds awesome!

for you lb7's one day you will be able to put a vvt turbo on your trucks. so at least you have that to look forward to. until then i would go with a modded turbo from fleece or danville

My 71.5 on my LB7 whistles pretty good. I'd say a notch down from the VVT Cheetah.

anyone know a rought estimate on what it would cost me to have my stock turbo massaged by fleece or danville? info is much appreciated.

a cheetah turbo for an lb7 tuns 2750 i think. danville doesnt do anything with the stock turbos. or both fleece and danville do a modded garret turbo. give the number in my sig a call
