Looking for some advise. A buddy has asked me to help upgrade his duramax, whick I'm not experienced with because I currently own a Ford. So I will use this advise for him and me also because I'm thinking about switching to a duramax.

He would like a little better MPG and more power. He said that he will spend around $1,000 - $1,500. What would be the correct way to spend his money and not put alot of risk on the truck? Please advise.

I recommend going with the Edge Juice and Attitude which is about $800, a K&N cold air intake $250 and removing the muffler which will cost him about $60 at the local muffler shop unless he wants to spend an additional $500-$600 for an aftermarket exhaust system.

What ever he goes with, the key thing to remember is to stay well below 100HP. Other wise he will be spending somewhere in the $3-4k range to get his tranny upgraded.:rolleyes:
