i have the cst upper control arms with projoints. the joints are worn out and NO ONE will sell me the parts to rebuild them. i definitely would not have bought a $250 ball joint if it wasnt really rebuildable! anyone know who will actually sell the parts? people keep taking my order but they never come through. Thank god for my lil toyota masher or my tires would be toast.

any off-road supply house can get you the parts needed to rebuild the uniball. you just need to find the right place. Where do you live? There is one place in California that for sure has what you need.

How long did you have them installed before failure?

i dont have the mileage written down but i think about 30,000 miles maybe less. I drive down super rough roads and go to toe dunes with my truck all the time though. I love everything about my truck except for ifs. IFS= It F*^%#&$ Sucks

I guess that's not too bad for a uni in those conditions.

Meh, IFS has its place. I'll take it any day on the road over solid. For the rocks, that's another story, but I'm not running my DD in the Hammers either. That's for the Jeep.

for future reference lift kit warehouse in Antioch is a good place to deal with.... and sort of located close to you.

and I wouldn't mess with Donny's 4wd right there off of grant line! nothing good ever happened there!

FWIW the lower complete A-arm is actually pretty cheap from Maita( Talk to Shawn, he'll take care of you) and easier then messing with pressing the ball joint also since your on the same shitty roads i am, your a arm bushings are probably taking a beating also so it worth it IMO to change it all out.....

Lift Kit Warehouse is no longer in business, just a heads up.

We sell CST also. We don't sell as much of CST as Cognito by far but we do sell them if that is what you are happy with. The re-build kits are not much money and not sure why no one could get them for you. Sold them before.

Rio Vista??? Able Chevrolet??? one of my best friends was frat brothers with the owner at CAL. they were good friends until Able burned him on a truck deal. this was after several friend referrals. because of that situation, i will never give business to them:(

Maita is great if you request certain guy to work on your truck!! and if you deal with the skinny tall service writer everything will get done as you requested( he knows what to look for in power adders etc so be forewarned) its all about who you know.... the shop foreman is one hell of a guy!! His name is Don, he is totally laid back and easy going guy! and the best GM mechanic I've delt with!! he isn't just a parts changer..... he is a real mechanic! he will take the extra time to find a solution to problems as opposed to just changing parts and sending the vehicle out the door!
Don is a personal friend of mine so this is how I know how he works!
