Whats up fellows where is the best place hook up an aftermarket tranny gauge sending unit ? I was told the return line coming from the cooler:think:, or would the tranny pan be more accurate.

Trans pan.

X2.

Why measure temps AFTER the fluid has been cooled. Pan temps will tell you how hard the trans is ACTUALLY working.

Why would a sensor in the pan and the stock sensor be so different in temp? Which is more accurate? Thanks.

Stock sensor is on the pressure switch manifold on the valve body and it is plenty accurate for me.

Is it worth while to even get an aftermarket gauge? I'm going to get a set of gauges soon and am going back and forth between 2 or 3 gauges. Pryo, Boost and Trans or just Pyro and Boost.

I have heard people talking about the trans being off by 50 degrees, I never knew what to think about that.

Also heard almost everyone say go to Mike L. he is the BEST, the MAN and so on

you saved me 200 bucks on trans temp gauge thanks.
so happy to find this thread.
