<HR><!-- 0 -->So my new 2005 duramax / alli 4x4 c/c s/b 4x4 2500hd 4,100 mi has 8 " of cst lift, 37x13.5x20 wheel tire combo, dvd touch screen full stereo back up camera, nav, auto start paging alarm, banks six gun bundle for the lly. Every thing is professionally installed, and all top quality ie no short cuts. Three times now I tried to start it with the auto start and it WONT fire. It just keeps turning the starter. After ten min it will start with the key. The other thing that really kills me-:t is the yesterday they did the banks sixgun kit W airbox, and this morning I had to meet a customer to bid a job 200 mi away. 40 mi into the mountains the trans seamed to be slipping? I used the trailer setting to see if that helped. and it seemed to vanish. 15 min later the truck started sputtering and the engine light came on. Then the truck acted like it was running out of fuel. I pulled over, turned it off restarted it and it ran fine with the engine light still on. I left the little lady in it running for 1.5 hours while I was with the customer then drove 50 miles to eat.



We left and the light was off. I made it 50 or so more miles then the thing lost power down shifted so I almost red lined to keep up with the traffic of the free way. pulled over turned off the banks restarted it then drove the rest of the way home so 60 or so miles with the light still on but no problems. I did notice the black smoke when I punched the gas with the banks six gun turned on high.
Also one of my employees did put red fuel from the old yard tank in the truck 8 or so tanks ago, but never had a problem. Anyone have any ideas. I'm worried about taking it to the dealer with all the mod's, but love every thing about the truck except the front clip "wanted a GMC but got $5,500+ rebate off sticker" Any one have any ideas? The red fuel was in a old tank but I capped off with a fresh tank before I left at my reg station.:help:

I am thinking that they didn't use the passlock bypass or whatever was required. I have never heard or experienced any starting isues related to the 6gun.

the starting issue was prior to the six gun. that started about 3 weeks ago the auto start was put in 1.5 months ago, and the start problem has happen 3 times all when I used the auto start on the alarm. This never happen with the key, but it takes 10 min till you can start with the key if it does happen. I think its the factory security doing it but don't know. The installer said it was a dual code issue from leaving the key in and using the auto start, but the last time the key was outside the truck with me.
