I want to remove my carpet and install a rubber floor. Can I just get the rubber floor from GM? Has anyone done this? The carpet is not working at all for me. Way too much dirt, grease, and cow crap . Rest of my truck I can keep semi clean but the floor is nearly impossible.

It is super easy. Just remove all the seats, lift up the trim on the floor sills and the carpet comes out. There are a couple of plastic tabs under the seat holding the carpet to the body if I remember correctly. Toughest part is taking out the seats, and that is pretty easy. I bought the factory vinyl floor from the dealership. Same one as in the work truck models and it was an easy replacement. You won't regret making the change if you work in the mud.

Use Weathertech, they work awesome and you dont have to rubber the entire floor.

X2 you an me think alike. You wouldn't have to worry about it rusting inside out. My brother in-law had his 1 ton work van line-xed on the whole inside.
