Forst off the blower fan in my 83 seems a bit weak. At full blast I can barely tell it is on over the engine. Is that normal. Been that way ever since I bought it,, just seems funny.
Second It rained around here all day today and my truck will actualy spin tires,,,, It is actualy funny I wasn't even trying.... It is normaly such a dog when it happened the first time I thought something broke:))

Rio, if you live down in the southwest I ain't suprised. A little rain floats the oil on the road, like ice in July. My 89 E350 van with a 7.3 will spin the wheels, sometimes even without rain! But there isn't much chance my 89 GMC van with a 6.2 will ever do that.
Run a fused tempary jumper wire from the battery directly to the fan motor. Your switch may be bad, only working on low setting. Mike

6.2's have a lot of bottom end torque. My daughters blazer with 4.10 posi and 3/4 ton running gear will smoke both 35 inch mudders on my dirt road all the way through 1st gear):h It is also very quick off the line.
As for your fan, check the purple wire that goes to the fan motor with a volt meter, voltage should change based on where the switch is. On high you should have battery voltage. If you have battery voltage on high and the fan is slow, you will need a new fan motor. If your voltage is low on high, could be a bad switch.:grd:
