i just replaced my water pump with an ac delco pump, $$$$$ im wanting to know if theres anyway to completley drain the motro because i flushed it with a water hose and then filled the engine up, ran it blead air of keep running termos opened about 40 min and then then pulled the lower rad hose off draining it. i then filled it back up doing all the same steps, when down to the farm 1 hour drive checked when i got there and there was shit in the res. and it wasnt the clean orange color anymore it was more black looking waste of money for tha antifreeze.

there are drain plugs in block, mine have yellow paint on them. if running dexcool, use distilled water to flush block, drain and fill. i have used dishwasher detergent(couple oz's), mixed in bucket(pour in liquid only), then poured into engine run engine to warm up, drain and run clean water to pickup trash broke loose. run distilled water last rinse if using cleaner. water filter will help remove junk, several have installed, tee'ing into heater lines. vent while filling, engine stopped, running keeps air circulating in water.
