Colorado Kid 09-10-2003, 06:50 PM The '91 is going to qualify for second time (200,000 miles) before the end of the week. Seems to have been a great choice and, believe it or don't, still the factory original brakes and clutch.
The D-max is only 1/4th of the way to 100,000 miles, but so far it's been just as good as the '91 for fuel economy, reliability and lack of problems, and WAY more capability. (Of course it cost almost 3 times as much as the '91 did new.) Nothing to complain about.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

captainmal 09-22-2003, 09:35 PM Hoot,
Right at 150,000. Good truck and transmission. Duramax fuel system has caused me many breakdowns and is extremely expensive to repair. Hope the new fuel design addresses these issues.
Wish I had the same truck with a Cummins.

bluenote 09-22-2003, 10:34 PM Another guy here that's halfway to 100K. I just turned 50K a week ago, and loving the truck just as much as day 1. Actually, maybe even better now that the beast is broke in a little. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif Edited by: bluenote
JEBar 09-23-2003, 06:41 AM '88 S-10 Blazer 4.3 currently 221,000 miles, only repair to engine was to replace water pump and while they were that close had them replace the timing chain as well, needs valve guide seals but don't add any oil between 5,000 mile changes
'78 Jeep J-10 360 pickup sold in '02 after buying current D'max, had 400,000+ miles, engine rebuilt once and 2 clutch replacements
'02 3500 D/A just under half way with 45,000+ miles, has run strong with no engine/transmission issues, hope to put more miles on it than I did the J-10 http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif ........ Jim
LARSONEM 09-23-2003, 07:59 AM I've got a whole 7200 miles on my 2003. What a truck!! Fun to drive, tows great. Only real complaint if I really had one is the initial purchase price, but then what do you buy these days that doesn't cost mucho bucks.
Finder9 10-04-2003, 08:45 AM Since I only pull my 5th wheel with it on occasion, mine will probably be in my will to my new grandaughter! http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif Edited by: Finder9
rmjdmax 10-04-2003, 04:26 PM 1/5 of the way there. I enjoyed 207k miles on my 88 Silverado. I love the way this truck handles the 5er. I expect this may be my last truck if I keep it as long as the 88.
hdmax 10-04-2003, 06:09 PM Mine will hit 40 big one on Monday or Tuesday.
Maverick 10-05-2003, 03:20 AM Sold my 01' Chevy 3500 with 123,000 miles.
My 01' GMC 2500HD is going on 77,000 miles.
BennyBoy 10-05-2003, 05:27 PM Got a buddy with a 98 dodge cummins with 650,000 miles on her and no problems todate except a water pump and a couple of engine belts. My duramax has only 15,000 on her and except for a one time magor injector nock no problems. Should be a good truck once I get the new updated injectors on it.
