My truck is a 2007 classic LBZ 2500 HD crew cab I have 305 55 R20 tires on with 5.5 inches of back space and the torsion bar cranked up. The ride is rough and I know having the torsion bar cranked up is hard on the front end.
I have gone and got price quote for a 4-6 inch cognito lift the price for the lift and install is 1800 to 1900 is that a good price? I think that it is the TBD lift kit. Out of the TBD and the NTBD lift kits which kit is better for ride and all around better lift. I need new tires would like a 34 or 35 inch tire . I have read about putting a 3inch block in the rear and turning the front of the lift up to 5inch to fit tires. How will that be on ride quality ? Was thinking about getting the bilstein shocks to help with ride. The only other thing is I would REALLY like the truck to fit in my 7 foot tall garage. The way the truck sits right now I have 5and ¾ inches of clearance but the torsion bars are cranked up 2inches in the front.
Any input you have would be nice.

Both are great kits and "should" ride the same. Keep your front angles as flat as you can and she'll be happy. Mine's right at 4" and fits in my 7' garage. I'd like to know what you're getting for that price.....

Just make sure you do your homework and check out 'other' companies that offer similar products before spending your money. There are lots of lifts out there. They are all good, but make sure you get what YOU want..

I wish my truck would fit in my garage.. and it is stock...

When you look at the price of Cognito you need to brake down what they are using as the package product because Cognito makes the most upgrades on the market out of any company. You can see out pre-packaged kits on our online store here: http://www.norcaltruck.com/shop/index.php?cPath=2_387

You can buy the kit as a basic package to save alittle and then add on later so that is a plus that you know all the product will work together if you chose to add on later. Most of the time many people fidn that upgraded product doesn't tie together and it ends up being more problems but this is not the case with Cognito:).

Here is the build of Copter's truck and it has a full lay out of all the spec's of height so you can check on your side if the truck will fit in what ever spot you are targeting: http://www.norcaltruck.com/cognito-4-6.html

You will be VERY happy with this lift, here are other users that have it: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=255651
