A friend of mine bought a 05 GMC gasser regular cab and decided to add the fog lights. He bought the factory switch and lights. He has the switch plugged in and has the harness from the lights but can't find where it plugs into the body harness. Do any of the computers need reprogramed to make it work or should it all be plug and play. Any help appreciated. Thanks guys.

We put the factory kit on my brothers '03. IIRC, it came with the harness, the switch, a relay and everything you needed to put it in. We didn't have to reprogram anything. I have heard some guys say you have to reprogram the BCM, but we didn't have to.

where did you plug the harness in for the lights. I looked at mine (06) and the wires for the fogs disappear into the wire loom on the left and rt sides. I haven't physically seen what the harness looks like that he got but he can't find where to plug it in.

Did you ever get them working?

No but it turns out I got bad info from him.He bought the the oem switch for the cab and a relay, and aftermarket lights for the outside. I still have'nt seen what he has in person. But it sounds like we are going to have to find where the oem lights plug in and make up a harness from there to the lights.

I think thats the same kit I ordered. I did not have to reprogram the BCM. My brother's truck is on 03 though.

When I had my 02 Chevy 2500HD, I wanted to add the fog lights to it. I purchased the kit from GM and went to install it I found that the light harness was already there wire tied to the core support. You may want to check to see if the harness isn't already there.

I'm thinking that's the way my brother's truck was. I know it was a very simple installation. I just couldn't remember where we plugged it in at and that is the only one I've ever done.

Mine was plug and play...the harness was already connected the the big black fuse box under the hood. If it is not there you simply find the lugs under the fuse box for the fog light fuse and install them there.

Are you talking about the radiator ? Where exactly did you find the plug ?
Thanks.
