I have a 93 6.2 light duty 2500 with a 4L60E tranny that just went out. I have located a used one out of a 93 5.7 gas but wasnt sure if it would work. Is there a difference? Is anything going to need to be changed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you sure that its a 4l60E? I was under the impression that the diesels only came with the 4l80E's. I am in the middle of a swap putting a 93 2wd 4l80e that came out of a van with the 350ci into a 95 4x4 diesel truck so far every thing looks like it will mate up just have to change the tail shaft and possibly the output shaft but that should be it. I would say putting a 93 into a 93 as long as they are the same model they should mate up.
