I've noticed some kinda squeek here lately in the engine. Can't really tell if it's a squeek outside the engine in the exhaust or something, or if worse yet, inside the engine. I've crawled around, and found no exhaust related noises. Thoughts as to where to begin lookin' for this "squeek?" It goes with the pulse of the pistons.

Worn piston return spring rotators?

Probably an idler pulley on the way out.

Worn piston return spring rotators? Is this next to the flux capacitor? :help2:Can't find any reference to this anywhere.

To eliminate the accessories as suspects pull the serpentine belt off and start it up, only takes a couple of minutes. If the noise is internal change the oil something like a lifter or rocker could be sticking and fresh oil might free it up.

Fresh oil already last week, 1000 miles later, no change. . .

Mine was alternator bearings on their way out, I shot a little WD-40 on them & squeak stopped until WD wore off & started squeaking again.

Do you still have a vac pump, I suspect it could produce a "pulsed/cyclic" noise, I've heard of those being rejuvinated with WD 40 into the inlet tube.
