How beneficial would it be to do a bag o parts kit to a stock lbz cp3?Could it handle 60% over injectors without the mod and proper tuning?

Thinking I might have to get my injector repaired or replaced and I want to upgrade them at the same time.

i think 60 over might be pushing it. 40 you might be able to do but 60 is alot.

x2. I dont think people realize just how big certain percentages are... You really dont need all that much to see a huge difference. 60% IMO will be quite hard to tune so you dont smoke at idle...

Now see, I dissagree. I have quite a few 60% over trucks out there that are daily driven, get great fuel mileage and don't smoke anymore than stock sticks do, but it is all in the tuning for them and if they are done right. Just my personal opinion though. And yes Everitt, the bag of parts will help you maintain great rail pressure with those injectors as long as your tuner doesn't go overboard with your pulsewidth.

on an LB7, LLY or LBZ? Not saying its impossible, but its going to take a lot more work as far as tuning.

Im not sure a single CP3 would support 60% injectors all that well either.

I just finished an LBZ two weeks ago with my modded LBZ pump& my 60% injectors, my 2.6 Stage 2 charger and it maintains 26K rail at 625RWHP/1140ftlbs. Customer is amazed at how it performs on single pump. It can be done, I do it all the time for customers.:D

what is modded in the pump? Just the regulator? Or other stuff too?

I'm running 60%'s for daily driving, and I haven't had any problems at all. I'm getting good mileage, and you have to snap the throttle real hard to get a puff of smoke. And I'm maintaining rail pressure with a single LBZ modded cp3.

EDM? Extrude honed? I have bigger injectors (not sure what %, maybe 35?) and people ahve told me that if you go much bigger you'll have to deal with a little bit of smoke. I have no personal experience with injectors bigger than mine, so if you guys can make 60%'s work like stock, then all the power to you... :)

No problem Ben, mine are extrude honed and work great if you know how to tune them. This is were most of the issues are for most people and it is why some say that they are to big for most. We are lucky that we can tune around the injectors instead of hoping for the best like the dodge guys. Works for me and my customers are happy with there results, I can't ask for anything more than that.
