: Any manuals to learn about the LMM?

I had a series of electronic manuals about the 7.3 liter and 6.0 liter PSD (Ford) that really broke down the components of those motors in detail. It helps to understand the engine and kept me out of the service bays quite often.

I can't find anything on the Duramax though. Am I Goggle stupid? They have to be there somewhere. A service manual would be cool too, but what I am looking for is more of a break down of what each part of the engine does and how it operates. Not necessarily how to fix it. Diagnostic codes would be nice too, but I really just want to understand how it works when it is working.

Any links to on-line data or a place to purchase hard copies?

May check out Helms manual on the gmt-900 platform. Has breakdown but does lack info like torque specs and specific part numbers. I've not check this out but users say it is pretty good. http://www.alldata.com/
