So Ive been having trouble with my headlights, tailights, and instrument lights cutting on and off and Im fairly certain its the headlight switch thats the problem. I can wiggle, flip and hold the switch just right and make it work, but its really getting on my nerves.
Im going to pick the switch up this weekend, im looking for some input on removing and replacing it. Thanks in advance!

I don't know if the switch is any different for '95, but for '94 you just remove the dash trim, (4 torx screws), remove the electrical connector and 4 screws holding the switch to the back of the dash panel.

It is really easy, just carefully pry off that trim ring around the instrument cluster/heater & radio. Then I believe it is 4 7mm screws that hold the switch in place, and a connector on the back.

check the wires first before replacing the switch, Justin(whiteK2500) went to replace his switch, and found out the harness going in was the issue IIRC. just see that theres nothing loose, or crushed.

9/10 its the switch. I had to replace mine on my 1998 GMC
i had my dash apart last weekend. i installed a new stereo. crutchfield is way over priced, but they give great instructions w/some pictures and the stereo mount was a breeze. i took apart the doors and alot of the dash.
to take off the trim ring on the front of the dash -
set e brake. turn key to release shift, and drop all the way to right, set column down as far as possible, open drink holder. now, grab the top edge of trim ring (outer part of trim) at the top, there are about 5 clips, try to kind of work your fingers into the joint and then pop it out. then gently work your way down the sides and then the bottom. just get it out enought to unplug th eheadlamp switch, then the cargo lamp switch needs to be unplugged, i have push button 4x4, i unplugged.
that's about it, i think that i needed to push straight down and tilt the top out first carefully. i also replaced bulbs in the cluster that was easy, it just slides out.
