: Is this a DECENT price for a set of H2 takeoffs with tires?
RUNNINHORN 04-22-2005, 12:28 PM Gotta local shop down the street that has 4 H2 takeoffs with the tires, 35 miles on them, asking $900. Is this a decent deal, or should I stand firm on my $700 offer? Not too sure what a chrome set is going for, just wondering, thanks........
VFRRider 04-22-2005, 04:22 PM Chromes, that is the newer "chrome" rims which are standard, and have a chrome type crinkle finish between the spokes and regular chromed face surfaces, have gone for $700 per set of 4 locally. $900 is high IMO, but full sets are getting harder to come by.
ssduramax 04-22-2005, 05:35 PM check ebay, they have them all the time.

yea, but ive had a hard time finding a set of tires and wheels chromed locally here recently, and everything on ebay will tack on $200 for shipping, so thats why I was wondering if these here locally were good for a set. Ill hold firm on a $750 offer.....
AndrewFessler 04-22-2005, 08:00 PM I paid $450 or so for a set of H2 takeoffs (non chrome) rims and tires.
Call around to your local Hummer dealers.
VFRRider 04-22-2005, 08:10 PM My understanding is the standard Painted rims are no longer offered, chrome type now standard, so I've been told by a Dealer. They wanted almost twice as much for the chrome type than they had been getting for the painted..
Still, the BFG's go for as much as $185 ea locally new, so $900 still isn't too outrageous, since your getting rims, mount and balance for essentially $150.
I've seen plenty of alloy/tires for $600 a set. I paid $800 for chrome/tires.
RUNNINHORN 04-22-2005, 11:27 PM well, she is a done deal, he took my offer of $750.....getting 5 chrome wheels/tires brand spanking new.......gotta go pick em up in the morning

Tomyep, 6 miles door to door, now if fedex will just let me off so i can go pick em up:D
VFRRider 04-23-2005, 02:58 PM take a rachet strap, if you stand the tires up in the bed, 4 will fit side to side rather nicely up against the tailgate when closed. Run the rachet strap through the centers and hook to the tie down loops at the back of the bed. They won't go anywhere. You can then put the 5th in front of the 4 and strap that one in too. Done it more than once.
RUNNINHORN 04-23-2005, 08:55 PM awesome, thanks for the setup instructions, saved me an extra trip.......
CottonWoodBlues 04-24-2005, 02:18 PM I thought I'd chime in here, too, Runninghorn. You got a smokin' deal. What are your setup plans for the pickup? Lift kit? Leveling kit? Keep us posted. Right now, mine is running fine with the t bars cranked as few turns to level it out. I'm only running 285/70-17's Toyo A/T (33") on my H2's. I have a set of 325/70-17 (35") Toyo A/T's waitting to go on after these have worn out. Probably toward the end of summer or fall. Keep us posted... I'd especially like to see the pics.
