Recently owned Cummins 24valve and was warned not to use any type of open air cleaner element. Was led to believe the Cummins sucked in so much air that no filter could keep small particals of dirt passing through, which could etch cylinder walls causing excessive wear and possible engine damage. Warranty from Cummins then voided. Do the Duramax motors have this same issue or has anyone heard of this? I prefer better filtration and better breathing for my diesel but slighting concerned if this holds true for Duramax. Any comments or suggestions appreciated. :help2:

The GM is great. Feels tighter and performs better. Just wish not with all the emission garbage.-:t
