I have a question about my truck. When I bought the truck it had 32995 miles on it. Anyways I took it in to get the injectors checked. And the service manager said they replaced all 8 At 35697 miles a month before I purchased the truck. So as you can see the math doesn't add up. So now I am a little pissed and want to know your guys opinion on the matter. Do I get the old owner in trouble and report it? Or just let it ride. Has this happen to anyone before?

Could the vin have been put in wrong? There is a vin request in the dieselplace forum here. Post your vin there and see what it brings up in regards to mileage and repairs. Also did the dealers info match your truck such as color, package and options. Just wondering if that could have happened.

When i did vin check on here it only showed a partial list of what was all done to the truck. And today the dealer I took it into made me a print out of the entire vin history. And it showed my color and options.

My money is on the dealer that sold me the truck used. They looked like they were into that kind of thing.

Is it the truck in your sig? If so then probably an error in whomever wrote the mileage down cause the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty would be over regardless. Now if it is an 06 or newer then i would say report it.

I think that there may be a typo or number from another vehicle involved some where along the line. I can't believe someone would put themselves in jeopardy or a mere 2,702 miles. I think there was an honest mistake made.

The vin history showed my onstar update I made to the truck. So It can't be wrong.

My bet is that someone (tech, service writer) typed in the mileage wrong during the injector swap, or they read the mileage wrong when they checked it on the odometer.
A "5" can look like a "2" to a person when they're in a hurry typing, or maybe they just hit the wrong key, as the 2 and 5 are centered on the keypad.
Look at it this way, your injectors are already done, and it was only a 2700 mile error. 2700 miles is a drop in the bucket with these trucks, so its all relative. Now if you found the error to be 20,000+ miles or something outrageous like that, then that would be something dishonest.
Go enjoy your truck. Have fun.

Jtoyo, the reason I say that is I was in your place 3 years ago.
Just take a look at the VIN check of my truck. Based on its repair history up to my purchase date, would you have bought it? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showpost.php?p=597871&postcount=13 I initially himmed and hawed over buying it, but had two GM techs opine that it would be fine. Other than the Tcase junking itself out shortly after purchase, this truck has been flawless....and fast as hell. I have not regretted one bit buying it.
So like I said, go have fun with your truck.
