i think you need the crossover steering kit from ORU, it includes the Pitman Arm, Drag Link, Drag Link Ends w/Jam Nuts and a Flat Steering Arm with ARP studs.

If not give cjsho a pm he might be able to help you

you can't just get a new arm for the steering box you have. you need to get the sector shaft changed out to a 4 blind insted of a three blind.

I have a bunch of SAS pitman arms. I did a Solid Axle on my Tahoe a few years back and at the time I was working with / helping out a guy named Steve at ORU. I was helping him buy pitman arms direct from mfg... They were buying them at the time from another 4WD parts place and wanted to control their own supply chain, etc. During this process I think Steve got fired or something of the like... and to make it better the guy in Michigan he was sending people to, to get Ford Dana 60 Hi Pinions, walked with $2200 of my money as well. I met him, saw the axle, gave him money down to start working on it, and then a week or so later his phone stopped working.... went up after a couple of weeks of being pissed and the house was vacant!!! I STILL REMEMBER HIS NAME AND IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE OUR PATHS WILL CROSS AGAIN!!!:snipersmi

Give me an idea of OD of the spline section and count the number of splines for me... I probably have something that works.

WHY? The ORU kit you buy now includes a new pitman arm that you change out.... period. There is no sector shaft change!?!?

ORU sell just the pitman arm but you will need to change your sector shaft in your steering box to a 4 blind. you can send them your box and they will change out for you, or you can buy there ram assist kit that comes with a steering box that already has a 4 blind sector shaft

has any one tried to remove the ball joint in the end of teh stock pitmen arm and weld in a insert so u can use a standard hiem joint with it? iv seen this done on toyota's and older chevy truck parts in the past. seems lagitamet enough for me.

this is a taperd insert that fits into a toytoa pitman arm but accepts a full size chevy drag link end. iv also seen them w/ out a taper.

found it with google. ...... "Pitman arm insert to fit Chevy drag link end from Front Range Off-Road Fabrication. $20."

so your saying we can get around having to get our boxes swapped around. Im doing my SAS as serious as possible but if I can manage to get around having to yank my box and send it off and wait for it to come back I may look into it.

I am just going to run a Stock Jeep YJ arm (although debating an astro van or fullsize wagoneer). Just have to file the wider "splines" out so it can be clocked how ever you want. ORU's kit is not needed.

I used my stock shaft and got a four spot spline pitman arm and just filed down a few splines on the pitman arm.
