I don't know about a CD. But just buy a rebuild manual for $25 and it will take you step by step on the rebuild.

There's been talk of such a CD but then you'd have to say why. If you were a top Allison builder why would you show the world even at a price just how you build the transmission. We'd be full of experts and no need for the current top Allison builders who make their living doing this.

I have the CD but it has nothing about the upgrades.
The way I do it is
Step 1: Take trans apart
Step 2: Put trans back together
Step 3: Go beat on truck :D

As far as where the parts are installed yes. Suncoast takes a lot of the guess work out of it with pre fitted parts. Is there more? Yes. Can you get this info? No. Must you have it? That's up to you.

I am planning on building my own tranny...no one started out knowing everything...

If you have never taken apart anything except to clean the crumbs out of the toaster maybe you shouldnt rebuild an allison.

in my opinion there is a lot of "mystique" around rebuilding an allison...and thats the way it should stay

The question is how much stuff did they break or tear up to learn this info.

I would love to have a built tranny, they are just so darn high

Guys"" its like anything else. I have been in this business for 29 years a trans is a trans and mechanically the Allison is a easy build.. its knowing what to put in and where. If you are a electrician and you walk up to a transformer you just know and wire it up. If I did that it would scare me to death because I have not done it before but if you showed me gave me something to read ..watch.. then it might not be so bad.
