I have just purchased a $100 wireless backup camera from Sams Club. I want to put it on the back license plate of my 38 ft 5th wheel trailer. I get a picture but is very poor quality, I have the transmitter under the belly covering of the 5er forward as far as the wire allows. I think I have too much walls/insulation etc to get the wireless signal in the cab of my truck. Here is my question what can I put on the transmitter to get more punch/range of the signal??

you may need a longer wire but it should just be a power ground and av cable

Not sure if it'll help you , but I also plan on doing this and I intend on using a flat 4 pin trailer harness from autozone to hardwire camera to truck. I'll mount the connector to the hitch, so when it's unplugged it looks factory, next to the 7 way plug. My camera is only power, ground, and video so if yours is the same this could work. I've never had a wireless camera with good reception.

Save your $ and get a better cam. I bought two cheap ones an finally bought a straight shot. The pic is quality.
