I got the chance to do a cold start this morning at 30*F and truck started right up but missed one cylinder for about 30sec or more and blew white smoke for that long. That sure pointed to glows. I was curious if resistance testing "usually" finds a bad glow? When I did injectors, I fired the glows and made sure they all turned red. Now I am scratching my head. They all meter tested good and glowed but that was about 1000 miles or 6mo ago.

you said you've pulled and tested them. how long did you leave them on for? if they aren't 60Gs or Duraterms you could have burned one up when testing. you should get your results in ~5 seconds. Any more and it indicates a bad GP. It's not if they glow, its where they glow and how quickly. It should glow from tip to center in ~ 5 seconds. Just tip or just center, or a long time to glow means you've got a bad GP.

All glowed normally and glowed them with the key. Basically pulled the injectors one by one and hit the key when I did each one. They all glowed fast and approx .75-1.0in long from tip back. I was very resistant to trying to remove them because I doubt they have been out for a while and my luck, they will break in the block and the ones by the turbo are impossible to get to anyway.
That was going to be my next question, do they break coming out? I was also in question on the injectors until I had one in my hands. Those are BEEFY! No concerns there. The glows are another story. Tiny and looks like a brass body.
