About a year ago i did the swiss cheese air box mod on my 02 lb7. I also removed the tin foil, and installed a coolmyduramax air intake(that rubber cover) Everytime we get alittle rain or snow and i pull my filter out the end of the filter is wet and i can see water covering the bottom half of the airintake box. I was wondering should i just replace and airintake box with a new one and block the tin foil holes back up or is this normal? I see alot of guy that post they have no issues in the rain or snow, but my filter is always alittle wet even with just a mist outside. Also it's really only wet around the upper left corner where i cut out the part of the air box.

I also use an amsoil EA filter and just found this posted from Donaldson'sŪ. "Ultra-WebŪ NanoFibers™ won't deteriorate as easily as traditional filters. Plus, it's impervious to water, so getting wet won't ruin your flow" So maybe it cant hurt anything if my filter is getting wet

I have this same year, setup and have zero problems... of course maybe it needs to rain here in Texas
