I found this quote in your link amusing: "Diesel power makes the most sense for customers who rely on their vehicles for towing and hauling," says Jack Blanchard, assistant chief engineer for the Duramax engine.

My old 6.0 2500 gasser never failed me in 230k+ miles, yet my Duramax is sitting at the dealer getting an injector replaced. So much for "relying" on a diesel.
