I think once you limped its already too late. My truck will limp on level six every time, and yesterday pulling my toy hauler it limped level 4. I dont normally tow on level 4, just wanted to see what it would do, and I found out.......time to start saving for a transmission.

ive been told that you can instal a tras-go (full trans-go) and replace any burnt steels and resolve some of that problem. which is what im doing next week, but if you have alot of extra hp then it is only a matter of time before you will need to build it. it depends on how you drive as well. and as dave01 stated if there is alot of damage already done then it is like putting a band-aid on something that needs stiches... im not shure how well it will work with the jr.... just my 2 cent... someone correct me if i am wrong.

if you are going to open the trans up and replace bunt clutches then why not go ahead and build the tranny. even if you go the route that you are going it will not hold 450hp for very longive been told that you can instal a tras-go (full trans-go) and replace any burnt steels and resolve some of that problem. which is what im doing next week, but if you have alot of extra hp then it is only a matter of time before you will need to build it. it depends on how you drive as well. and as dave01 stated if there is alot of damage already done then it is like putting a band-aid on something that needs stiches... im not shure how well it will work with the jr.... just my 2 cent... someone correct me if i am wrong.

because the tranny is having some warranty work done and the labor is not gonna cost me anything just the trans-go.... i would like to go ahead and build it but im afraid this is all my budget will allow at the time. but yes if i was paying for the tranny to be pulled and worked on you bet when it went back in it would be at least a sun coast stg3
