I just noticed that all my tires are showing the white tread rings on the outer grove of the tires. Is that normal ? We tow a 16000# 5th wheel & have been running 75 to 80 psi. GM recommends 65 psi but I thought by carrying the extra load it would need more tire pressure. The tires only have 23000 miles on the original truck tires. They were rotated about 6000 miles ago but I never noticed the wear ring. Any suggestions ?? Thanks

i usually run what the tire manufactor recommends. are your tires load e rated? also, some tire compounds are softer than others meaning they will wear out faster.

My 03 dually 4x4 eats front tires about every15k, it cups the outside and inside. Not wearing the center much,I have custom wheels so its not worth rotating them.I guess its from the front suspension changing geometry thru the travel up and down,They tell me they all do it.They start making noise at 12k.Don't know if this is the same as yours? The rear first set lasted 60k.the second set Khomos started going bad/blow up taken out the fender:mad:,15k

Mine are about shot in 7,500mi but they are Goodyear MT/R recaps from TreadWright. Not real happy. Fronts are still like 85%

Factory tire = Crap. My friend has a new 08 and they came with Generals that lasted 20k. Half ton, tows nothing (not even a hitch) 2wd. I understand the need t save money but those things are dangerous.
