Has anyone ever even heard of John Deere Plus 50?

Yes, I know alot of Cummins boys that use it and under heavy stress. I have never heard anything bad about it.

THanks I've been running JD Plus 50- 0W40 since early winter and did notice quite a difference with easier starts and better oil pressures. It is a full synthetic oil with an API CH4/SL rating and has a good antiwear package in it. I did a baseline VOA on this oil and will be pulling a sample at 5K miles soon to see what's happening inside. I want to keep an eye on any abnormal wear rates and I'm still debating on how much longer I'm going to leave it in. Not sure if I'm going to run the 0W40 during the summer months or switch over to the 15W40. JD Plus 50 seems to be a very shear stable oil even with the Cummins engine which can be hard on an oil. So far after 4K miles oil is every bit as clean as it went in, and I'm seeing the same idle pressures I've seen with the Rotella 15W40 I use to use. I guess the only thing I've noticed different with this oil is that I don't have the engine tick anymore, but then again maybe just a coincidence.
