I was wondering if using fuel treatment (schaeffer's) would in any way harm my engine? I used it in my 05 d'max and 07 cummins, but I want to make sure before I start using it in my 08 d'max.

Yes. Also try Stanadyne. I use it in every tank all year round!

ON EDIT: CORRECTION: NO, it will not hurt your engine! Sorry for the cunfusion!

No it will not hurt your engine. Matter of fact GM recommends you use Stanadyne if you are going to use an additive.

A good fuel additive goes a long way to help keep your fuel system happy and healthy. My preference is FPPF Total Power. I blend it in my on site storage tank so it is in every tankful that I burn.

My bad. Alvareracing, thanks for catching that. :D I read the question, but was thinking something different. A fuel additive is a good thing. NO Shaeffers will not hurt the engine! Sorry for the confusion.
