I thought I was following all the past forums on this subject, but I am having problems. I would appreciate some help.

Trying to fit 285/65/18 with Moto Metal 951c 18x9 with just 2 inches of leveling. It isn't working. Tires are hitting back of front wheel wells with only about half a turn. Trimming won't get it as it is hitting body. Will another inch do it?

What to do please?

Thanks much!

What offset did you go with? My guess is that it's negative.....which is not what you wanted. Depending on what part of the fender that's rubbing you can trim the metal that's on the bottom of the fender (out of sight) and then pull the liner back further.

Other than that, your only options are to either lift, or go with the correct offset on the rims to tuck the tires under. Much bigger tires have been fit at stock ride height.

18x9 with a -12mm offset is to much for the new body style with a 285 65 18. You could go with the 285 60 18 or try to turn up your torsion bars.

Dont mean to hi jack the thread but will 305 50 20 with a wheel that has a -12 offset and a backspace of 5.03 inches fit on a NBS thats stock height? Thanks

No they will not, I assume you are asking about the 20x10 with -12mm offset?

ya 20 x 10 with a -12 offset is what I was talking about.. So I would need a offset closer to 0 for it to fit? Would the 10 inch wide tire be to wide and stick out of the wheel well quite a bit? Would a positive offset be better? Thanks

Yes, they will stick out of the wheel wells. A 20x9 with a +18mm will do the trick!

I think the only thing left to do is sell the wheels and tires to me and get yourself a new set,:D

Thanks for all the feedback. Does Moto Metal make anything that isn't
-12mm for NBS?

How much lift is usually necessary? I sure though this set up wouls work.

Yeah I almost bought that exact same wheel, then found out about the offset for the NBS. I think 4wheelparts site lists the offsets of all the wheels they offer and they have a pretty big selection for Moto Metal wheels. All the ones I found that I was interested in were -12, but I think there is some 0's there. Still not quite what you would need without a lift.

Thanks again for the help. I have done a 2'' leveling kit so far. Really thought that would do it. That 18x9 is a beauty on the truck. It is better looking than I thought.

I will have Discount call Moto Metal Monday and see what else is available. I bought both wheels and tires from them. They have been great!

EJOnline...I just saw where the 956 comes with 18mm on the 18 in. also. Thanks.

I don't want to go with 20s. If I can stay with 18s that would be great.

all Motometal wheels can be had in -12 OR +18mm i think. I know they make all of them in -12, and they make all off them in + offset also just not sure if it is +18 or not? Send them back and get the same wheels with +offset

I am planning on that. I see where the 956 is +18. On Different tire and wheel websitesd that seems to be the only wheel with a + offset.

Thanks
