Damn computers...

I am getting ready to purchase a set of 951Cs. How is the chrome and does it hold up well? Looking at 18x9 with -12mm offset.

I appreciate your comments. BTW, where is good place to purchase?

Don't run them in winter! You didn't say where you live but here in Illinois the salt capital, mine didn't last one season. They carry one year warrenty but I was 1 month out but Discount Tire (where I ordered them from) did give me 50% off new set. Look good but you do have to keep them clean to prevent dull shine.

I find that the centercaps are crap but as long as it doesn't see harsh winters then it is a decent wheel. Mine are great, but it doesn't get cold in my area.

I have them (second set now) and will never buy them again. I love the designs they come out with but the type of chrome they use is pure junk. You can keep them spotless, not run them in the winter or anything and you will still see specs of pitting in the crevices and some flat spots. I have the 18x9 -12 951's right now and am really disappointed in their quality. By far the worse set I have bought. Hopefully you get lucky, but I highly doubt it.

I have 3 years on my chrome 17" 950's in Michigan all year long. The rims have held up well and I plow and salt with the truck. The center caps on the other hand are terrible, chromed plastic, I have had three sets and all have flaked within 7-8 months.

My first set held up great, my second set are doing well so far. I do agree the center caps suck. My first set peeled and rusted, second set are faded already. I do take them off in the winter.

wow.. i just got mine put on a month ago and had never heard these bad stories :( i have the 954's

Man dont worry. Its all about luck so hopefully you come out ok on them. I have had two sets though of the 951's and both sets the caps sucked(cracked/spidered) and they pitted and I keep my stuff clean. Just flat out poor quality. But they do have the best designs out there.lol. Owell its all good.
