Why am I running out of fuel?
02 crew short box with FASS, Hot Juice, new PPE Hot Xcellerator, new fuel filters on both stock and Fass locations.
Fass puts out 8 to 10 LBS, boost 34-42 lbs.
Is the fuel rail the problem?
This is a very bad bursting! Must get this to stop. I am not in the mood for mass carnage. -:t
And no I didn't suck a cigar into the fuel ):h

thanks

get a tech2 and do some snapshots of actual vs. desired rail pressure on a long WOT run.

:iamwithst Sorry Nick :D Also do a fuel rail pressure test with the tech 2, could be a tired cp3, or could just be a regulator valve returning too much fuel back to the tank. Also, what level of fuel was in your tank when this was happening.......or does it happen all the time even when tank is full???? If you were below 1/4 tank more than likely it was the Fass causing it, lots of threads on that problem.

Full tank of fuel.
Waste gate is now working till the fuel problem is solved. A barking dog is ok, dog chasing cat good, barking turbo bad!

at what levels on the Edge and the PPE are you running stacked together, and at what rpm is the bursting occuring? One more question, does the bursting occur at full operating temp. try getting on it with the coolant temp just above 160 and see if it still happens.

Got Juice?

How many miles on the oem filter?

Yeah I was gonna ask where is he measuring his 8-10 PSI? Curious to know if that is 8-10 after the OEM or outback at the pump?

If you are running the new hot xcelerator then you can not run any level of the juice with it. Also I hear that even with the juice on level 0/0 it still advances the timing, so you might taking the juice off completely and see if it fixes the bursting issues.

Only reason I say this is because with the new hot xcelerator I can not even run my tst on level 1/1 with out bursting.

Hot Juice on level 5 shift defuel off, EGT defuel off, latest PPE Hot xcelerator,
Fass mounted fuel pressure sending unit.
Engine fully warmed (180+)
I pursuaded a local Goodwrench mechanic to take a ride w/Tech2.
His neck is now killing him. ):h
Desired fuel pressure 24k, actual 18k
Timing 16-20 degrees
Bursting at 2800 rpm or higher
Injectors perfect.
All filters just changed (100 miles) did not help.
With Hot Juiceturned down to level 2 problem gone.
Massive clatter with stand-alone latest Hot xcelerator, even worse w/juice
This stack might not work. Censored

Thanks, and keep the info flowing.

i forgot that i've heard of someone having a cp3 take a dump on them:rolleyes:

Does it burst with the juice on level 2 or lower?

Well if the new PPE makes more power than the Xtreme(like its supposed to), I doubt you will be able to stack with it.

SOoo What is happening that he can not stack the 2 boxes ?

Sometimes it's the truck, sometimes it's the stack.......

I would start with the PPE at the highest HP setting and bring the EDGE in at 0 or 1.........make some runs, then bump up until the bursting starts, then go down on elevel. Also play with the low boos fueling.....if the PPE has enough fuel the rail pressure could be exaggerated with th low boost fueling turned way up.

Sometimes people try to stack incompatible boxes/tuners.........or they are compatible and they go overboard with trying to stack both on full. JMHO, been there already.

In my stacks I tried I never did get a decent run with the HOT EDGE/ Attitude over level 2..........my truck bursted as well...........

The stack does not burst on Juice level 2 or lower.
After shotgunning Ratlover's truck the TTS Extreme is much stronger, sitting shotgun is a different sensation though.

Some days it Knocks/rattles like crazy, stacked(new Hot Xtreme/HOJ w/Attitude) or not (new Hot Xtreme only). Double the dose of performance formula Standyne reduces rattle. That being said some days no rattle.

This truck has an attitude, it has never, ever been strong out of the hole, no tire spin ever (break stand not included). Exhaust note changes and so does power. No codes. When it is kind of making power the feeling is effortless, when it is off it is working to hard. I can not find a pattern.
Any off the wall ideas?
It's got to be 1 simple thing.

Check sig for 10# of mods, but not enough.

Thank You

Time to trade?? LOL Mine was similar, changed the fuel pump and its a whole new ball game. Just a thought, got a lopie idle at times- might be the pump.

I had the same bursting issues with my Edge Hot and Quad 215. Had to play around with the low boost fueling and Edge levels to get it to not happen. Now I have the Extreme and those problems are history.:)

After a couple more days of testing, Hot Juice may be the problem.
running new hot extreme alone the truck shifts better than it ever did and is consistant. There still is the rattle ranging from none to bad.
WTF

Still not the power of TTS extreme though.
