6 mos ago I picked up this 94 Suburban 3/4 4wd 6.5L from NC - very clean, 85k miles. Has 92k now.
If my wife runs out w/out letting the truck warm up it dies at about 40 yrds and she has to crank it a good while to get it going. She's afeared that it will die on her in an inopportune moment, it also exhibits occasional rough running as the engine seems to miss. I just sent it to my mechanic who ran a diagnostic on the comp. and found no recorded errors or anything wrong, could not get it to duplicate the problem. Seems to use about about a 2quarts of oil between changes - valvoline 15w40 with lucas additive. She makes about 50% short runs 3-5miles and the rest 10-20miles. Any help would be appreciate as she has confiscated my pickup.
