Gotta great deal possibly on a 1.5 year old Nictane that still in the box, never been used, any idea if they have changed since then? Should it still work no problem on an 05 LLY? thanks

they have changed a bit. same filter element. the filter head has changed to one that is a bit shorter- it allows the assembly to be mounted a couple inches higher. also the current head flows more than the original CAT head. the newer kits also include the OEM style quick disconnect fittings whereas the old kits used 7/16" fuel line that pushed over and was clamped to the steel line.

Nick,

Ever thought of offering a retrofit kit with the oem clip fitting also would viton hoses for those wanting to run high concentrations of Biodiesel?

or is the current hoses on the older kits ok to run say B50+ ?

Thanks,

Pepperidge

Hi,

Unfortunately i am not able to sell just the fittings due to the purchase agreement i made with my supplier. Basically i am only allowed to purchase the fittings if i sell them in complete kits. if i were to violate that agreement i wouldn't be able to buy them at all.

regarding Bio, as no one was running it when i started the original kits I don't know what the fuel line's resiliancy is to it.

The current fuel line is Dayco abrasion king, 250 PSI push-lok. its more robust than the old stuff and should hold up fine according to what i've been told.

Maybe you could ask them if it were to be sold as replacement lines for "your" kits it might make a difference? doesn't hurt to ask... right?

I just figure if their for your kits(although previous) they shouldn't have a problem with it...

If you get a positive answer, let me know (hopefully you will)

If you do get a positive answer, what are the chances of viton being used? I have the price chart posted (from Mastercraft I believe) in the bio forum the thread is "bio and rubber" ...I think

Thanks,

Pepperidge

Does the filter head have the inlet and outlet ports next to eachother, or are they on opposite sides of the head?
