I currently have a 2004 F350 that has been plagued with problems from the engine to the transmission since day one. I just had my DSB board ordered repair done last week and on the way home the truck stalled again. Once my arbitration in complete, questions now arise for the 2005/6

The 2005/6 is a great looking truck, but still unfortunately has the same transmission and engine as my 04. Are you guys aware of what changes Ford has done to "correct" the problems plauging the 04's. I am really not in the mood to gamble in hopes of getting a truck that runs. If I do decide to order another Ford it would be the 2006 model year. Any information you can provide good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know the 05' PSD had around 40 things changed from the 04', but from what I have heard the problems still exist. As far as the TorqueShift tranny, I believe they fixed the problems with that, but have heard of some people complaining about the same problems on the 05. I guess no matter what brand you go with you might get a good one or you might get a bad one. Ford just has more problems than the rest right now.
