while driving my truck started revving up and down on its own, redlining a couple of times, So i shut it down in fear of blowing up, and now i have a no start situation, Am i right in thinking this is sign of bad IP??, Also the fusebox underhood keeps blowing the fuse for the (fuel Sol.)Im getting fuel from the lift pump to IP, but no fire. NO Codes either. My IP was replaced under warranty, but that was 180,000kms ago.

sounds like a broken armature right off the bat.

good thing you got her shut down. now it's time to fill out the checklist, and start the life support machine.

the revving up and down like the throttle has either "on" or "off" and nothing in-between is a sign of a busted fuel solenoid armature that is internal to the IP.

Sadly the only fix is a new or rebuilt IP in this case.

Here's a post from our local free classifieds ads. I hope it's okay to link to it (I see Craigslist links here frequently). It's a private seller asking $500 for a rebuilt pump never installed in Vernal, UT (northeast Utah). He's selling a turbo too for $350. ...might be worth a look. ...might not.
