long story short. I just found this site, and besides feeling really dumb about GM diesels i need some help. I have a 04 duramax 2wd w/ an edge programer and a 5" exhaust and the thing just cooks!! Well i thought it cooked until reading some of the post here. Anyhow I just purchased an GMC 05, crew 4X4 and I've heard about problems with Edge programmers tripping the dummy lights (which I really dont care about if there is no problems beyond that). Anyway to the point. Whats the best set up if I'm just looking to do an intake, programmer and exhaust? Or i can do possibly more----I have a bet with a buddy who has an F-250 with the edge and a Banks exhaust. And I need to smoke him........BAD.

The next thing you're going to "cook" is your tranny if you have the Alli.

Bang for the buck....try the predator and some traditional gauges on an A pillar. An exhaust turbo back would be a great addition. Now.....for the big lly power....a tranny upgrade and the VA stacked with the predator. The PPE hot xcellarator and VA is supposed to be the best stack hp wise but haven't tried that one yet. It yeilded the best #2 only dyno run to date on the lly.
