Tell me how you think I did (pics in garage). They are made out of category 1 top links, 2" sch40 pickled pipe, and are 8'-0" cc. I didnt want to drill any more holes in frame for the front mount, so I ground off and beat out the rivets that attach the cross member for the torsion keys to the frame and replaced with grade 8 hardware.

They are category 1 top links for 3pt hitch on smaller tractors. Picked up a pair for about 45$ if i remember correctly. Just cut the adjusting sleeve in half and slid them into the pipe.

Look good. You will know how good they are when you test them.
I get my top links from our local Tractor supply. Some cut and weld like indyfitter06 did and some buy new nuts to weld onto the ends (one left hand and one right hand thread!). They work good and are relatively cheap.
