Wow, this thing has some power, i'm going from a LS1 Z28 to this, so its nothing like i had, but for being as big, i'm amazed everytime my foot hits the floor. So what can i do to it, to make it more powerful. She only has 700 miles on her, and i dont want to void any warranties.

as it was told to me..... get a few cold ones, use the search function and read up here. there is a wealth of info on the diesel place regarding performance.
welcome!

Come on -- you've got to void the warranty -- everybody's doing it ;)

Trans, free flowing exhaust, and a big tune.
You really need to set your goals. You can run 15 second ET's without going into the trans. But the torque necessary to go into the 14's (and quicker) will exceed the clutches in the trans.
Unlike cars, the torque on these gains faster than the HP. A 65RWHP tune can gain 150Ftlbs or more. It's torque that gives the trans grief. In the case of my truck, I added about 220rwhp, yet nearly 500ftlbs gain in torque. And that's before the nitrous.

Do a secondary fuel filter, 4inch exhaust, and get a tuner or module. If you want to go over 90 additional hp then look at a tranny upgrade.

ya exactly what all of the previous people said.
you can make your truck faster than the LS1 stock.
your goal ought to be to run 12sec quarters.

Agreed -- Secondary fuel filter (mega filter kit) and bypass oil filter (oilguard). Those two will extend truck life. Then I would go for performance. I haven't done a tranny yet -- I want one in the future, but I will have to go without mods for a while.

i keep hearing tranny, tranny, but everything i've read, and even the transmission shop said these things were practically bullet proof

Bullet proof to a point...anything more than 90 hp gain will toast the alli in stock form. Get the tranny done and then play the hp game...its well worth it. Oh.....enjoy your new beast and your new addiction...welcome to "The Place"!:ro)

yea i think its getting a lift, but i can't decide between 6" or 9", and 35's or 38's and 18's or 20's

Look in my signature for what my truck has. Which size you pick all depends on how practical you want your truck to be. For example I am 6'2, and often times when im loading stuff into my truck its almost even to tall for me. And with the 38's you would probably be more comitted to needing regearing. But if none of this is an issue or you can live with it go for 9"!!! Either way it will look awsome and i wouldnt discourage either one. good luck ):h
