Ok guys I've gotten a temp sensor code once a week for past 3 weeks so I changes temp sensor. Soooooo I replace temp sensor, and low and behold I got temp sensor code last night while I was hauling a friends Burban (No not a 6.5). What else can be causing code. I thought guy a Azone said code book stated could be thermostats getting stuck is this true? I had minor coolant leak a while back and tried some Bars Leak could that be gumming up sensor or something else. Bars leak was put in about 6 months ago though. I thought that was quite a while to be having problems now? If it could be stats I'm going to need help taking thermostat housing off and where is 2nd stat?

Where is the leak and is it easy to fix because if it is.Flush System and change thermostat and see if it works.

More than likely a pinched wire.

Chances are temp is too cool due to stuck tstat or too cool of a rating.

I'll secound the stuck stat. I had a dealer replace a sensor once and it did the same thing the next day. I replace the stuck stat no more SES light.

The t.stat's are right next to each other you will see when you pull the 4 (8mm) allen head bolts off of the t.stat housing where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. You didn't mention which temp sensor you changed there's one on the coolant crossover manifold and one on the drivers side head, if your trucks not running to hot or too cold (according to the guage) you might need to change the other temp sensor, if the t.stat change doesn't help. I've benn running 195 degree robertshaws from Kennedy since I upgraded my cooling to the dual setup, and am very happy with them.

Thanks for all the advice. Boy all sound possible. I had the wires all over the place during optic bump and temp code did come after that. I will check all the wires again for kinked wire or bad ground. I changed the temp sensor on crossover so I may change other and tstats check wiring and stop going to Azone (I hate that place anyway, just went there cause of free code reading.). I have to say the couple of problems I've had with truck you guys have been awesome.
