Was to nice out today to waste, so got the grill all done. Did the emblem in flat black and the grill in gloss black. 4 coats on each and 2 coats of clear. The clear coat made the flat black change color alittle but it matches the plastic on the bumper so it looks perfect. Duno how to post pics so check the garage.

Thats tight man. I am working on the same. Did you use automotive paint or did you rattle can it? If it was automotive, what kind of paint did you use?

Looks great! How did you do your tail lights? Over the lens or did you pull it apart?

I was looking through your garage pics and thinking " all he needs to do is de-badge" but you did......nice.

It was a ****ing question...and I ended up going over it with 120 grit sandpaper then went over with a coat of plastic primer then 2 coats of flat black. No clear coat cause i dot care for what it does to the color of thr black

i made it. took about 20-30 mins to tape it off. painted the whole thing red and let it dry. then taped off the edges and did the middle black.

yes i just de bugged it, hit it real quick with a scotch brite pad, taped off all the red, and started laying on the krylon fusion.

i like the look of the blacked out chrome piece on the grill im going to be doing that but with a little bit different twist, i want to paint the honeycomb piece the same color as my truck. how do ya'll think that would look? i plan on taking all chrome off my truck and makin it all black eventually.
