I like the stealth mode. It's fun to look stock and drive around with the predetor and whoop on some deserving people. My concern is the EGT's I'm sure are way up there and I will be pulling 12K this summer. I want exaust but don't want anyone to know it's not stock by looking. This thing has 4" factory, if we muffler it will it be as good as aftermarket. I have not looked, do diesels have resonators and if so I could axe that too. Just want a sleeper but need exaust. It seems anytime you show your mods every diesel owner thinks you want to race, and if you don't race they go away thinking those Dmax's are just slow. If a great muffler is all I need which do I buy?

Well first all if you are towing with a predator you're going to want to get a EGT guage. Second, our trucks have a 3.5" exhaust, unless something has changed recently, which I don't think it has... Anyway, getting rid of the stock muffler usually yields lower egt's and if you have a cat on your truck, then that could be removed too. There vendors here that can offer you a 4" or 5" exhaust with a muffler and a resonator that will really quiet it down, but also give you lower EGT's. Just shop around on the vendor sites and you will find what you are looking for.
