experience unusual downshifts when approaching stoplights, slow rolling coast, then apply throttle.... the ally seems to be confused and quickly downshifts into presumably first gear really hard.....its almost like it got caught napping!!

also as I approached my driveway this afternoon, at about 2 MPH I threw it into neutral to prepare for reverse...(usual habit) and when I did this the ally made a SLAM sound... scared the Censored outta me! keep in mind here I did not go into reverse, only let out of drive into neutral

Im hoping anyone with similar symptoms will tell me not to worry about all this........

thanks guys

Oh BTW truck is 2005 with about 1800 miles on it.
about 300 or so towing 8000 lbs. - medium grades.

I would have the dealer run a Tech 2 on the Ally and clear and preset all the taps first. I have seen this before and it will work out. Once the TCM is in quick learn ( by way of Tech 2 ) it will quickly settle into slow learn and be fine.

Let the truck get used to the Pred, your shifts will straighten out in a few days.
